(a)<\/span>In General.\u2014<\/span>The following definitions apply in this title:<\/span><\/p>\n (5)<\/strong><\/p>\n The term \u201cfull-time National Guard duty<\/a>\u201d means training or other duty, other than inactive duty, performed by a member of the\u00a0Army National Guard of the United States<\/a>\u00a0or the\u00a0Air National Guard of the United States\u00a0<\/a>in the member\u2019s status as a member of the\u00a0National Guard\u00a0<\/a>of a State<\/span> or territory<\/span>, the Commonwealth of Puerto<\/span>\u00a0Rico<\/a>, or the District of Columbia<\/span> under section 316, 502, 503, 504, or 505 of title 32 for which the member is entitled to\u00a0pay\u00a0<\/a>from the\u00a0United States\u00a0<\/a>or for which the member has waived\u00a0pay\u00a0<\/a>from the\u00a0United States.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n (2)<\/strong>The term \u201cArmy National Guard<\/a>\u201d means that part of the organized militia<\/span> of the several States and Territories, Puerto\u00a0Rico<\/a>, and the District of Columbia, active and inactive, that\u2014<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" 10 U.S. Code \u00a7 101 – Definitions (a)In General.\u2014The following definitions apply in this title: (1) The term \u201cUnited States\u201d, in a geographic sense, means the States and the District of Columbia.
