The Constitution of September 17, 1787 contains one Preamble and seven Articles.\u00c2\u00a0 The phrase \u00e2\u20ac\u0153this Constitution\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00c2\u00a0 appears at least once in the Preamble and in each of the seven Articles.\u00c2\u00a0 The phrase \u00e2\u20ac\u0153this Constitution\u00e2\u20ac\u009d appears twice in Article V and three times in Article VI for a total of eleven times in the entire Constitution of September 17, 1787 and the Preamble.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153This Constitution\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is the May 25, 1787 Constitutional Convention\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Committee of Style\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s way of explaining that the Constitution of September 17, 1787 is not the Federal Constitution, the no laws no taxes Constitution.\u00c2\u00a0 In other words, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153this Constitution\u00e2\u20ac\u009d is of\u00c2\u00a0 these entities:\u00c2\u00a0 “Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6”\u00c2\u00a0 If you pay property taxes where you live, Article I Section 2 Clause 3 is the real source of that tax, so wouldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t you like to swap \u00e2\u20ac\u0153this Constitution\u00e2\u20ac\u009d for the Federal Constitution.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153This Constitution,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d\u00c2\u00a0 provides in Article VII that \u00e2\u20ac\u0153The Ratification of the Conventions of nine States, shall be sufficient for the Establishment of this Constitution between the States so ratifying the Same.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Ratification is the confirmation of\u00c2\u00a0 what was done by the delegates to the secret May 25, 1787 Constitutional Convention and all that was a revision of\u00c2\u00a0 the Articles of Confederation of November 15, 1777.<\/p>\n
\u00e2\u20ac\u0153This Constitution\u00e2\u20ac\u009d began as a revision of the Articles of Confederation of November 15, 1777, succeeded at that, but failed as a Constitution, as far as the people are concerned, when no Officers of government would adopt it.\u00c2\u00a0 It has survived as the Constitution of the United States, because the United States is just another name for the territory and other property belonging to the\u00c2\u00a0 only real government in America, the United States of America.<\/p>\n
